Partner Doron Mutai specializes in all areas of income tax, with a focus on international tax, M&A transactions and taxation of activities in the capital markets.

Doron’s expertise relates to all aspects of Israeli income tax, while he has an extensive knowledge of other tax systems as well.  His extensive experience in this field allows him to advise Israeli residents on the tax aspects of their activities in Israel and abroad, and to advise non-Israeli residents on their activities and investments in Israel.  In this respect, Doron consistently advises non-Israeli multinationals that acquire Israeli companies, non-Israeli banks that operate in Israel, companies of the Oil & Gas industry that operate in Israel’s Exclusive Economic Zone and hi-tech companies on their activities in Israel and abroad.  In addition, Doron advises companies on the tax aspects of public offerings in Israel and abroad.  He also advises clients on international tax considerations of their investments in Western and Eastern Europe, Russia, China, India, Brazil, North America and Africa.

Doron has an extensive experience in all aspects of the tax life cycle.  This include tax planning, implementation of tax structures, provision of legal tax opinions and applications for a ruling from the Israel Tax Authority, and tax controversies.

Prior to joining Shibolet & Co. Doron served as a Senior Manager at a leading Big 4 accounting firm.

Co. author of several articles on tax aspects of acquisition of Israeli companies at the annual M&A addition of International Tax Review.
