Practice Focus
Nir provides his clients a broad spectrum of services in the fields of Privacy, Data Protection and Cyber security. He designs tailor-made cyber security policies, by focusing on three elements: 1) Pre-Breach Stage, 2) Data-Breach Response and 3) ongoing Cyber Regulatory Services (compliance with worldwide regulation to minimize risks and reduce exposure to lawsuits).
Nir also advises insurance companies and policyholders in cyber crisis management. Nir gained considerable experience in Cyber security from the Israel Defense Forces. After serving as a legal advisor in various legal and managerial positions, Nir was appointed the Legal Advisor to the J6/C4i Directorate (headed by Major General), which is responsible for the communication, wireless transmission, computerization, cyber defense of information, IT and information systems in the IDF.
As part of his position in the IDF, Nir was in charge of establishing and creating the IDF’s policies, practices and authority for operating in the cyber space. Nir worked in cooperation with other national defense entities such as the Israeli Ministry of Defense and the National Cyber Bureau in the Prime Minister’s Office. In addition, Nir led contractual negotiations and collaborations on behalf of the IDF with major commercial technology companies, such as SAP, Intel, eBay etc. and advised the J6/C4i Directorate regarding legal aspects of their G2G engagements with foreign defense entities.
