Shibolet & Co. Represented Chinese Company in First Direct Investment in an Israeli Company

Shibolet & Co. represented Sanhua, a global leader in manufacturing control mechanisms for air conditioning units and is traded on the Chinese stock exchange, in relations to a USD 9.25 million investment in HelioFocus, an Israeli comapny developing thermo-solar systems.
Israel's Consul General in Shanghai, Mr. Jackie Eldan, commented on the deal by saying that this is the first direct investment of a Chinese company in an Israeli company, which will most likely lead to future Chinese business to further invest in Israeli companies. The matter was handled by partners Yaccov Yisraeli and Gadi Ouzan and by associate Dani Rinot from the firms M&A practice. This cross border transaction is a result of Shibolets & Co.'s involvement in China, via its Israeli-Chinese desk at Da Cheng Law Offices in Shanghai.
