As a recognized world leader in the field of defense and homeland security, Israeli companies enjoy ample opportunities to export their products and technologies. Cross-border defense transactions operate under unique transactional and regulatory frameworks.
Shibolet has established a Defense and Homeland Security practice to assist its clients in navigating the labyrinth of these transactions.
Our practice has vast experience in defense export control regulations and licensing; dual-use export licenses; corporate structuring tailored to meet the requirements of cross-border M&As and JV agreements; government contracts in Israel and abroad; and other defense related regulations.
Our practice assists our clients in compliance with these regulatory requirements, response to suspected breaches of any such regulations and also in structuring transactions so as to achieve necessary regulatory approvals while maintaining the commercial broader picture.
Our practice is headed by Adv. Chaim Gelfand, who has over a decade of experience in large complex international and Israeli defense transactions. Chaim is recognized as one of the leaders in Israel with respect to Israeli and International defense export controls regulations. He has represented corporate interests before the Israeli Knesset and the Israeli Ministry of Defense. In his last position before joining Shibolet, Chaim served as Deputy General Counsel in one of Israel’s largest defense companies.
