Representation of S.Q. Link Ltd. in Legal Proceedings Against a Former Employee Who Was Terminated and Moved to a Competing Company

In legal proceedings against a former employee, Adv. Eyal Oren, Roni Gutman, and Osher Buzaglo represented S.Q. Link Ltd., which had terminated the employee’s employment. Shortly thereafter, the employee began working for a direct competitor. The company sought a temporary injunction to prevent the new employment, claiming that the employee was continuing to serve three of her previous clients in violation of non-compete and confidentiality obligations under her employment agreement.

Following a hearing, the court ruled that the employee indeed continued to work with clients of her previous employer. The court issued an injunction limiting her ability to work with those clients for several months and prohibited her from using information she had obtained during her former employment.

The court accepted the company’s claim that this conduct harmed its legitimate business interests and provided the former employee with an unfair competitive advantage. This case highlights the importance of swift legal action in protecting business interests when there is a suspected violation of post-employment restrictions.
