Dr. Zvi Gabbay is a partner in Shibolet’s Capital Markets Practice.
Zvi has over 25 years of experience in financial regulation and enforcement, and is widely recognized for advising and representing clients before regulatory authorities on matters involving securities law and financial regulation. He also provides ongoing counsel to private clients and leading corporations on capital markets and corporate governance matters, and represents clients before enforcement bodies in connection with administrative inquiries and investigations.
Zvi focuses on securities law and advises public companies, banks, investment firms, and other financial institutions in relation to their operations in Israel and internationally. He also represents clients in securities enforcement matters, including administrative and criminal investigations and proceedings.
His professional background includes serving as Head of Enforcement and a member of the management team at the Israel Securities Authority, practicing as an attorney in the New York office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, and working as a prosecutor in the Tel Aviv District Attorney’s Office.
As a recognized authority in financial regulation, Zvi is often interviewed by leading media outlets and regularly publishes commentary on new developments and market trends in the field. He is also a frequent lecturer for management teams, boards of directors, universities, and professional conferences in Israel and abroad.
