Tabnine is a pioneer in the field of AI-powered coding assistants. Founded in 2013 under the name Codota by CEO Dror Weiss and CTO Prof. Eran Yahav, the company was among the first to incorporate deep learning models into code completion. In 2019, Codota acquired the Canadian startup Tabnine, founded by Jacob Gabel, and adopted its name as the brand of the combined company.
Tricentis acquired 100% of Tabnine’s shares for total consideration of tens of millions of US dollars, comprised of Tricentis shares and retention components.
