Shira is an associate in the firm’s Cyber, Privacy and Artificial Intelligence practice. She provides legal counsel to technology companies and international organizations, from pre-seed to advanced stages, with a focus on privacy, data protection, artificial intelligence, and complex technology-driven commercial matters. Shira has in-depth knowledge of global regulatory frameworks relevant to technology environments, including Israeli privacy and data protection laws, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, and U.S. federal and state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other emerging state-level regulations.
Shira’s expertise spans a broad range of regulatory and commercial matters, from managing compliance with privacy and data protection laws to advising on product-related issues and innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) systems and biometric technologies. She also has unique experience advising on the privacy and data protection aspects of multi-jurisdictional clinical research projects, alongside providing strategic guidance on AI regulation in the context of U.S. employment law.
Shira’s knowledge and experience enable her to provide comprehensive legal advice tailored to clients and their products, integrating regulatory requirements with technological solutions and business considerations. Alongside her legal practice, Shira is an interdisciplinary researcher with experience in applied research and policy analysis, specializing in the responsible implementation of technologies, algorithmic ethics, and anonymity.
She lectures on law, technology, and ethics in academic forums and holds a CIPP/E certification.
Prior to joining the firm, Shira gained significant legal and research experience in privacy and data governance at Or-Hof Law Firm.
